“Etiquette is the poetry of conduct; the rhythm that resonates within and harmonizes our interactions with the world.”
Etiquettes are not merely social constructs; they are the embodiment of one’s inner values, discipline, and respect for others. For conscious and quality people, etiquettes naturally become a lifetime legacy, ingrained in their personality and actions. These behaviors shape our interactions, reflect the quality of our character, and leave a lasting impact on society.
The Essence of Etiquettes in Daily Life
Etiquettes play a crucial role in our daily lives, from how we greet others to how we conduct ourselves in various settings. They are more than just following societal norms; they represent our respect for the feelings, rights, and spaces of others. Simple acts like holding the door open, saying “please” and “thank you,” or listening attentively in a conversation are not just polite gestures but expressions of respect and empathy. For conscious and quality individuals, these values are intrinsic to their way of being.
The Role of Etiquettes in Building Relationships
Etiquettes are fundamental in building and nurturing relationships, both personal and professional. In personal relationships, expressions of gratitude, consideration of others’ feelings, and acts of kindness create a nurturing environment where relationships can thrive. In professional settings, etiquettes such as punctuality, courtesy, and attentiveness foster a culture of respect and cooperation, which is essential for a positive and productive work environment.
Etiquettes as a Reflection of Consciousness
Etiquettes are a reflection of a person’s consciousness—an awareness of oneself and others. Conscious individuals are mindful of their actions and their impact on others. This mindfulness distinguishes quality people, guiding them to act in ways that are respectful, considerate, and kind without needing external reminders. Their actions are driven by empathy and understanding, leaving a lasting impression on those around them.
Conscious individuals also respect cultural and social contexts, adapting their behavior to different environments. This cultural sensitivity is a hallmark of truly conscious people, who respect diversity and strive to make others feel comfortable and valued.
Aggressive Thinking vs. Conscious Etiquettes
Aggressive thinking in the face of peace is the result of a reaction under a negative mindset. Whether individual or collective, aggressive thinking is an example of a weak mind in itself. There is no place for aggressive thinking in Islam. The second and last resort when all other possibilities are ignored is an aggressive move. If one lacks knowledge and the power of expression, the last weapons become ignorant words or arbitrary actions.
Allah, the Lord of Wisdom, in His Holy Book, advises the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to invite the polytheists of Makkah to the path of Allah Almighty with good speech, wisdom, and understanding. “Call people to the path of your Lord with wisdom and good advice and argue with them in the most courteous way, for your Lord knows best who strays from His path, and knows best who is rightly guided. ” (Surah An-Nahl 125)
Selfishness, hard-heartedness, miserliness, and narrow-mindedness have never been honored. Time will inevitably uncover dishonesty and lies; history has no place for them.
The Lasting Impact of Etiquettes
The impact of etiquettes extends beyond the immediate moment; they leave a lasting impression on others. People who practice good manners and etiquettes are remembered fondly, and their legacy continues to inspire others long after they are gone. This enduring influence is the true power of etiquettes—they transcend time and remain relevant even after one’s passing.
In contrast, wishes and prayers offered after death, while meaningful, often become ritualistic habits performed out of tradition rather than a genuine connection to the deceased. Over time, these rituals may lose their significance and become mere formalities, lacking the depth and lasting impact that living etiquettes provide.
The Contrast Between Living Etiquettes and Posthumous Rituals
While both etiquettes and posthumous rituals hold significance, they differ fundamentally in their impact. Etiquettes are living values practiced throughout one’s life, reflecting a person’s character and consciousness. They have a tangible impact on others and help shape a person’s legacy. Posthumous rituals, on the other hand, are symbolic gestures performed after a person has passed away. While they offer comfort to the bereaved, they do not have the same enduring impact as the values practiced during life.
This contrast underscores the importance of living a life guided by conscious values and etiquettes. It is these living practices that define a person’s legacy and have a lasting impact on society.
Bottom line: The Timeless Value of Etiquettes
Etiquettes are not just rules but a reflection of a person’s inner values, consciousness, and quality. They shape our interactions, build relationships, and leave a lasting legacy. For conscious and quality people, etiquettes are a way of life, deeply embedded in their character. While posthumous rituals have their place, they cannot replace the significance of a life lived with conscious values and etiquettes. These values are the true markers of a life well-lived, creating a lasting impact that endures beyond one’s lifetime.
“Mitta De Apni Hasti Ko Agar Kuch Marta-bah Chahiye,
Ki Danah Khaak Main Mil Kar Gulo Gulzaar Hota Hain.
“Surukh roo hota hain insaan thokray khane k baad,
Rang Laati Hain Hina Pathar Pe Piss Jane K Baad.
“Meaning:
“Erase your being if you want some honor,
That the grain blooms together in the dust.”
“Crying red is when a person stumbles,
Color comes after henna is thrown on rock.”
These verses remind us that true greatness and lasting impact are born out of humility, perseverance, and a life lived with conscious values. Just as a grain must be buried in the earth to blossom, and henna must be ground to release its color, so must we cultivate our etiquettes and character through life’s challenges. In doing so, we create a legacy that transcends our physical existence and continues to inspire long after we are gone.

Alarming rates of suicides is a severe consequence of depression and anxiety. Our society has
a lean concept of depression and anxiety and hardly people suffering from it confess about it
because people around him don’t understand his situation. Society has very narrow thinking
about it. If by chance an ordinary person got to know about a depressed person, he will be
treated like an alien or lunatic and that very thing don’t let the repressed person share his
emotions. He gets discouraged and scolded for his behaviour instead of being encouraged or
treated with love and care.
We live in an era where getting depression or having anxiety among youngsters or teenagers
is frequent. It is a most usual consequence of atmosphere we live in or things which surround
us. “mental health is so important for every individual” and unfortunately now a days
youngsters of our generation suffer from it and are not even able to speak about it due to the
social stigma i.e “what people will say”. This very statement has ruined many lives. It is the
matter of serious concern. Suicides among teens are rising day by day due to they can’t bear
their mental pressure. It makes them mentally weak and they get involved in so many wrong
things. They need someone who will envisage their problem and need support, love, care,
attention instead of taunts and burden of expectations of others.
We need to normalise consulting a doctor for it and don’t have to think what society will
think, let them talk. Families need to recognize it and take necessary step instead of blaming
the person. Visiting a psychiatrist for our mental health is not a stigma, and we need to stop
treating it so. Families are requested to recognize the symptoms of depression and anxiety
among your family members and deal with them lovingly, encourage them to visit a doctor
and advice for youngsters who suffer it, “take one step forward, communicate to your loved
ones, hurting yourself will not serve any purpose, don’t isolate yourself, you guys are equally
important and no different from others, don’t hold any kind of pressure, start doing things
that makes you happy and gives you peace, don’t put your life at stake, visit a doctor and
most importantly pray indeed ALLAH IS THE BEST LISTENER AND PROVIDER”.
For those who suffer it……
Need to see light through barriers
Circumstances may not be in favour, we need to make our carriers
Need to make our mental health a priority
Hurdles will follow our way, no need to give them a superiority
Let the people say what they want
Let your ears listen what you want
Let your success be brighter and audible
Let the words of society be slighter and inaudible
Let your emotions come out
Let the hindrances to get out
You are not alone in it
There are other who also suffer it
Harming yourself will serve no purpose
We have to have across it without being nervous
At the end we are alone in our ache
But don’t have to put our lives at stake

Honour by Elif Shafak is a poignant tale of family, tradition, and the enduring power of love amidst betrayal and loss. The story unfolds across three generations, weaving together the lives of Naze and Berzo, Pembe and Adem Toprak, and their children: Iskender, Esma, and Yunis.
The narrative begins with Esma’s visit to Shrewsbury prison to collect her brother, Iskender, who has served fourteen years for the murder of their mother. This act, committed in the name of “honour,” casts a long shadow over the family, leaving Esma filled with resentment towards her brother. The story then delves into the past, revealing the complex relationships between Pembe and Jameela, twin sisters born to Naze, a woman consumed by grief after losing her son and bearing eight daughters.
Adem Toprak, drawn to Jameela’s beauty, marries Pembe instead, leaving Jameela to become a virgin midwife in their village. Adem’s unhappiness in his marriage leads him to an affair with Roxana, a dancer, ultimately abandoning his family. Iskender, the eldest son, shoulders the responsibility for his family, grappling with his father’s infidelity and his desire to protect the family’s name. Jameela, guided by dreams, senses Pembe’s danger and sets out to find her, unaware of the new life Pembe has built in London.

Shafak masterfully crafts a story that explores the complexities of family dynamics, the weight of tradition, and the enduring power of love. The characters, each grappling with their burdens and desires, are vividly drawn, making their struggles and triumphs resonate deeply with the reader.
Jameela, unfamiliar with the bustling streets of London, found herself lost in a world she didn’t understand. She had come seeking Pembe, her twin sister, but the city held no trace of her. Desperate for connection, she ventured out with her nephew, Yunis, the youngest of the family. Yunis, however, was more interested in meeting his friends, leaving Jameela alone in the unfamiliar surroundings. It was then that Iskender, consumed by a twisted sense of honour, mistook Jameela for his mother, Pembe, and took her life.
The tragedy unfolded in a whirlwind of confusion and grief. Pembe, aware of Jameela’s arrival, hid Esma and Yunus, fearing for their safety. The news of Pembe’s death spread like wildfire, leaving everyone to believe that Iskender had killed his mother in a fit of rage. Iskender, imprisoned for his supposed crime, remained unaware of the truth. During a visit from his brother, Yunus, he learned that Pembe was alive. Hope surged through him, a glimmer of light in the darkness of his confinement. He envisioned a future where he could apologize to his mother, reunite with his family, and finally be free.
However, upon his release, Esma shattered his dreams. She revealed that Pembe had died six months earlier in their hometown. To protect her children from the truth of Iskender’s imprisonment, Esma had fabricated a story about him working in Alaska. She handed him a book about the state, a silent plea for him to embrace this new reality, a reality where his family was forever changed, and his past would forever haunt him.

One is known by the thoughts one nurtures, the words one utters, the actions one takes and the attitude one wears. It has been rightly said that it is the mindset that reveals the real worth of a person.Mindset is the set or the conglomerate of rules and strategies that govern the intellect and acumen of an individual. It is the portrayal of the way one thinks and perceives the world.Mindset can be growth oriented or fixed and rigid.Mindset can be positive and constructive or negative and destructive. We all love and cherish gifts. We love the blessings that beautify our lives.Positive mindset acts as the best gift and the most valued blessing one gets and can be cultivated and honed.A person with a positive mindset is known as an OPTIMIST and an optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty and has the ability to tide over all the difficulties that crop up.Contrary to that,a person with a negative mindset is known as a PESSIMIST and a pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity and loses hope easily. It is quite momentous to house a positive and a healthy mindset.A positive mindset parents creativity and innovation.Only an optimist has the ability to convert pain into power and utilise it as a leverage and an impetus to propel in life.To be successful in life,we need to first discover the mindset that leads to success and opens the door to success.Once explored, the mindset must be utilized to think, ponder and have ideas. These ideas must then be shared with experts and applied to get the desired results.Hence,it is clear that success is a result of a positive mindset, positive attitude, patience, hard work, smart work, consistency, perseverance and resilience.
People are born with the love of learning, but the fixed mindset can undo it.Think of a time you were enjoying something_ doing a crossword
puzzle, playing a sport, learning a new skill. After some time,it got gruelling and you wanted to stop.Perhaps you suddenly felt tired, dizzy, bored or hungry.Next time this happens, don’t fool yourself. It’s the fixed mindset.Put yourself in a growth mindset.Picture your brain forming new connections as you meet the challenge and learn.Adapt to the hard and arduous tasks.Don’t quit.Keep on going.
It’s tempting to create a world in which we are perfect. This is a delusion,an illusion that masks our real existence. We cannot be flawless. Our imperfections help us enhance our abilities and hone our skills. It is mandatory to acknowledge the truth that CHANGE is the only constant in life.Life is a series and a succession of evolution and transformation. It needs to be understood through learning, unlearning and re-learning.Only a person with a growth oriented mindset can understand this philosophy and hence can be seen smiling even in the worst of misfortunes.
Happiness comes from within. It cannot be found outside our being. It is our mindset that makes us feel happy or doleful. It is the mindset that enables us to see the good in everyone and hence bear no resentment against anyone. It is the mindset that counsels and advises us and shows us the way when we feel lost.It is the mindset that protects us against plunging in the mire of anxiety and depression. It is the mindset that helps us earn respect and admiration. It is the mindset that makes us lovable and adorable. It is the mindset that educates us about all the aspects of life.It is the mindset that empowers us to be free and safe.It is the mindset that equips us so that we can break stereotypes and the stigma associated with sensitive subjects like mental health,gender-based violence, social justice and the various prejudices.Hence, the whole power lies with the mindset that must be positive and healthy.Only then, can we have a better world where ideas thrive and life blossoms. It is the mindset that matters.

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5th to raise global awareness and action for environmental protection. On this day the UN General Assembly designated World Environment Day coinciding with the beginning of the Stock Holm conference on the human environment .
On June 5 , 1973 the world celebrated the first environment day . The date was chosen by the United Nations to honor the 1972 UN Conference on the human environment , a landmark summit in conservation and environmental awareness.
The theme of this year’s world environment day is land restoration , desertification and drought resilience.
World Environment day is celebrated every year on June 5 globally . It is the day on which awareness is spread awareness about the environment and the need to conserve it .Moreover it is essential to advocate for a greener environment and conservation of nature . It is quite simple as when we conserve the environment today , the future generations will be able to lead a healthier life . We cannot be so selfish and use up all the resources for ourselves .
World Environment day is the perfect opportunity to make people aware of the issues we are facing and how one can contribute to saving it . Thus it is quite important in its own way.

World Environment day reminds us to strengthen the world and ensure that nature is preserved at all costs. It throws light on the causes which are causing serious harm to our environment for instance, industries and factories are contributing largely to pollution. They are deteriorating the quality of air that we breathe and the water we consume. Thus this day serves as an eye opener for many citizens who are not aware of all this. In other words, it spreads awareness amongst the common people which the environment is facing right now on the occasion of world environment day. It is essential for all to realize that every little deed matters when it comes to saving the environment no matter how small a step you are taking to lead a greener lifestyle, it does make a difference because if everyone starts doing little deeds one by one it will turn into something big. As the saying goes, every drop makes an ocean.

As there are a lot of diseases that originate due to unhygienic living conditions and dirty water we must begin there. For instance when water remains stagnant or unclean for long various insects and bacteria start growing there this results in deadly disease like malaria, dengue and more so we must make sure to cover the tanks, pots, coolers and more. Which may become a breeding ground for such insects and diseases.
As you all know that desertification is a type of gradual land degradation of fertile land into arid desert due to a combination of natural processes and human activities. This spread of arid areas is caused by a variety of factors such as over exploitation of soil as a result of human activity and the effects of climate change.
Drought resiliency focuses on preparing communities for future droughts by giving them the means to endure with stand and recover from these events . strategies to conserve water, access new water sources and manage drought on a watershed level can help communities become more resilient.
Similarly we have to talk about the issues of garbage disposal especially in our country people litter around everywhere. It is essential to firstly dispose of waste properly and also segregate the wet and dry waste accordingly. Environment day serves as a reminder to protect the environment at all costs. All the resources of nature from forest to oceans and soil to air, we must conserve. Always remember that the gifts and blessings which nature endows on us are priceless. It is rather essential to conserve them all for a better future and life.
