Fiza Shafi of Nishat Hr Sec School awarded the Raksha Mantri medal and Commendation card by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

 

Srinagar, Jan 23 : National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet Fiza Shafi from Brain Nishat area of Srinagar was awarded this year’s  Raksha Mantri Padak & Commendation Card at Delhi Cantt on January 21.

Fiza Shafi is studying in Class 10th at Nishat Girls Higher Secondary School and she is the only student from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh to be awarded this prestigious honor for outstanding performance under the Jammu and Kashmir NCC Girls Unit, Srinagar.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh conferred the honor on the said cadet while visiting the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp in Delhi Cantt on January 21.
Principal Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Sheikh of the said Nishat Girls Higher Secondary and other teaching and non-teaching staff have congratulated this talented student of their school for making the name of the school and Jammu and Kashmir shine.
A staff member of the school while talking said that apart from being a talented NCC cadet, Fiza Shafi has also participated in other sports grounds like Kho Kho, Badminton and Dal Lake cleanliness and road safety campaigns. He takes the iron of his abilities.
He said: ‘The said student is not behind anyone in the field of education, but she is putting her intelligence in it as well.’
He said: ‘Since the present principal has taken over, our higher secondary has been making remarkable achievements in all fields’.
He said: ‘Under the leadership of the present Principal, the Higher Secondary is progressing in all directions and our students are excelling in all fields’.


He said that winning such a big honor by competing at the national level is not an easy task.
He said that Fiza Shafi takes every challenge seriously and works with diligence, dedication and extreme enthusiasm to overcome it.
He said that our school is ready to encourage other female students like Fiza so that they can reach the heights of success in their fields of interest.
Let it be known that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp at Delhi Cantt on January 21 and awarded the Raksha Mantri medal and appreciation Card to the cadets for their exemplary performance and devotion to duty.
