“J&K Should be Given Backward Reservation Quota: Director General of National Human Rights Social Justice Council of India Global Urges UT Status for the State”

Srinagar, Jan 23 :The Director General of the National Human Rights Social Justice Council of India Global, Advocate M.I.Zargar Patnavi, Khadim Mohammad Altaf Media Secretary NHR-SJCI and Mehnaz Mahboob Media Joint Secretary NHR-SJCI has recently urged for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) to be given a quota for backward reservations and for the state to be given the status of a Union Territory (UT). This comes as the government continues to push for the implementation of the reservation policy for the economically and socially disadvantaged sections of society.

Jammu and Kashmir, a state located in the northern region of India, has a unique demographic with a diverse population. The state is home to various ethnic and religious communities, including Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Sikhs. However, despite its rich cultural heritage, the state has been facing a number of economic and social challenges, particularly in the wake of the recent political changes in the state.

The Director General Advocate M.I.Zargar Patnavi stated that these challenges have disproportionately affected the state’s backward communities, who make up a significant portion of the population. He argued that these communities should be given special privileges in terms of reservations to help them overcome these challenges. He also highlighted that providing backward reservations would help to address the long-standing issues of poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment in the state.

The Director General Advocate M.I.Zargar Patnavi also urged for the state of J&K to be given UT status. This would give the state greater autonomy and decision-making power, which would be beneficial for the overall development of the state. UT status would also allow for more effective implementation of government policies and schemes, as the central government would have more direct control over the administration of the state.

The Director General Advocate M.I.Zargar Patnavi’s call for J&K to be given a quota for backward reservations and for the state to be given UT status is in line with the government’s efforts to implement policies that promote social and economic justice for all citizens. The reservation policy, which aims to provide special privileges for economically and socially disadvantaged sections of society, has been implemented in various states across the country, and it is believed that it would be beneficial for J&K as well.

It is worth mentioning that the Director General Advocate M.I.Zargar Patnavi’s call for J&K to be given UT status is also in line with the government’s recent decision to revoke the state’s special status and divide it into two UTs, namely J&K and Ladakh. The decision was taken to ensure better governance and development in the region.

In conclusion, the Director General of the National Human Rights Social Justice Council of India Global, Advocate M.I.Zargar Patnavi, Khadim Mohammad Altaf Media Secretary J&K UT NHR-SJCI and Mehnaz Mahboob media joint secretary J&K UT NHR-SJCI has urged for J&K to be given a quota for backward reservations and for the state to be given the status of a Union Territory. He highlighted that this would help to address the long-standing issues of poverty, unemployment.
