CCIK Grieved Over Gutting Of 9 Shops In Fire Mishap In Historic Market Zaina Kadal Srinagar

Seeks Immediate Compensation And Rehabilitation Of Shopkeepers

Srinagar, Mar 30: Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) Wednesday expressed deep grief over the fire incident at historic Zaina Kadal Market in which nine shops were gutted.


President CCIK Tariq Rashid Ghani visited the shops at Zaina Kadal and assured full support to the shopkeepers. He assured that the immediate compensation and rehabilitation of the shopkeepers will be taken up with the higher authorities.

Tariq Ghani has appealed to the authorities to visit the gutted shops and take the comprehensive assessment of the losses suffered by the shopkeepers.
He also appealed to the LG and District administration to work on beautification of this historic Zaina Kadal Market so that it’s lost glory is revived.
He said Shahr-e-Khas is an important old city both for commercial and tourism purposes which needs to be beautified taking into consideration it’s historical importance.
