DC Ganderbal reviews progress of enrolment under PMJAY-SEHAT

Directs for registration of left out population in mission mode

Ganderbal, Mar 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a meeting to review the progress under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT) in the district here at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat.

At the outset, a detailed discussion was held on the present status with regard to registration of beneficiaries under AB-PMJAY-SEHAT in district besides issues being faced during registration.

The meeting also discussed in detail the modalities for speeding up the registration process under the scheme and necessary instruction were passed to the concerned to cover the left out population at an earliest.

For speeding up registration process, the DC passed directions for mass mobilization to ensure that the left out population is covered under the scheme so that they are entitled to the benefits of Golden Card.

The DC also stressed on ensuring presence of adequate manpower (VLEs) at all Ration Depots in the district to enroll maximum beneficiaries to achieve 100 percent saturation. TSOs and Storekeepers of FCS&CA were directed to start registration of all Ration Card holders in a mission mode so that target is achieved on time.

Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, the DC said that AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by the Government aimed at to provide free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family in convergence with Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

The Tehsil Supply Officers of FCS&CA were directed to ensure mobilization of the left-out population in their respective jurisdictions by utilizing the services of grass root level workers so that all ration card holders are covered under the scheme.

Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CMO, AD, FCS&CA, Tehsildars, District Coordinator CSC, TSOs, storekeepers and other concerned.
