DDC Ganderbal chairs DLRC/DCC for quarter ended December, 2021

Ganderbal, Mar 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired District Level Review Committee and District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting to review the performance of Banks operating in the District Ganderbal and Line Departments for the quarter ended December 2021 here in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal under District Credit Plan 2021-22.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Ganderbal, Irfan Ahmad Giri, Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Nissar Ahmad Bhat, LDO RBI, Niha Mattoo, District Development Manager NABARD Junaid Hakeem, Director RSETI Ganderbal, Faiz Akmaili, District Coordinators of Banks, District Officers of Line Departments and other concerned.

The fora discussed in detail the progress and achievements made by the banks under priority sector like Agriculture, MSME and other micro schemes to weaker sections of the society.

Giving detailed summary of the achievements for the quarter ended December 2021 under District Credit Plan, Lead District Manager, Ganderbal Nissar Ahmad Bhat informed the meeting that the banks in the District have disbursed an amount of Rs 494.24 crores to 19130 beneficiaries against the yearly target of Rs 763.50 crores to 35646 beneficiaries thus achieving 65 % of District Credit Plan, 2021-22. Further, the meeting was informed that the total deposits of the district has increased from Rs 1629.09 crores as on.31.12.2020 to Rs 1773.48 crores as on 31.12.2021 witnessing a growth of 8.86% on YOY basis while advances have increased from Rs 1264.32 crores as on 31.12.2020 to Rs 1441.54 crores on 31.12.2021 registering a growth of

14.01% on YOY basis. Besides, CD Ratio stood 81.28 % as on 31.12.2021 which is 21.28 % above the benchmark i.e. 60 %.

Giving overview of credit disbursement through different schemes the Lead District Manager informed the house that the credit disbursement of Rs 4.80 crores has been provided to 70 beneficiaries of district Ganderbal under Mumkin Scheme, under PMEGP scheme the banks have sanctioned 84.29 crores to 1599 beneficiaries out of 2097 sponsored cases and Rs 58.68 crores have been disbursed among the beneficiaries so far. Similarly, under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna an amount of Rs 189.17 crores has been disbursed among 9050 beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC advised all the banks & sponsoring agencies to work with co-operation, co-ordination and cohesion to achieve targets and goals for the development and progress besides generation of employment for the youth in the District. The Chairman appreciated the performance of the J&K Bank and advised all other banks to put in strenuous efforts and up their respective achievements viz-a-viz targets.

She also directed all the banks and line departments to conduct awareness programs at Village /Block / Panchayat level to increase awareness among the people about social security schemes, developmental and employment generation programs of the government in the district.

Later, Potential Linked Credit Plan for an amount of Rs 678.74 crores for year 2022-23 prepared by NABARD was also formally launched by the District Development Commissioner Ganderbal.
