Pak handler tasked to receive air dropped weapons on Oct 2 nabbed

Jammu, Oct 12 (UNI) Jammu police have arrested one Pakistani handler associated with the LeT, who was to receive the consignment of weapons air dropped on October 2 here in the city outskirts.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh said that one Irfan Ahmed Bhat from Anantnag was arrested in the Phallian Mandal air dropping case as he was the receiver of the consignment.

A case was registered at Satwari police station. “He has confessed that he is in touch with handlers across and is associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist outfit,” said the top cop.

Bhat from Veerinag village had come to receive the consignment that included one AK series rifle, three magazines, 30 rounds, and one Optical sight, said the officer.
