Rs 2 Lakh reward for 2 J&K residents in constable paper leak case from Haryana

Srinagar, Sept 6 : Police has announced Rs 2 lakh reward each for information regarding two residents of Jammu and Kashmir, alleged involved in paper leak case for the recruitment of male constables of the Haryana Police.

SSP Kaithal, Lokender Singh (IPS) told GNS over phone from Harayana that while other accused have been arrested, two residents of J&K—Mohammad Afzal Dar of Hazratbal Srinagar and Muzaffar Ahmad of Gul Ramban are at large.

“We have announced Rs 2 lakh as reward for providing information leading to their arrest. Already a number of accused have been arrested and they are only missing link in the chain and as such reward has been announced for their arrest,” he said.

The SSP said that a case (FIR No. 433) dated 7-8-21 under section 420,467,468,471,120B, 201 IPC & 66 IT ACT has been registered in police station City Kaithal.

So far, over 20 people have been arrested in the case, including J&K resident Nazir Ahmad Khanday.
Some of the accused arrested in connection with the case include Baljit Singh of Hisar; Aman Kumar of Hisar; and Naresh Kumar and Sushil Kumar of Kaithal.

As per the police, the accused had taken the answer keys from the main accused, Narender of Hisar. Police has also recovered a soft copy of the answer keys from their mobile phones. (GNS)
