Tral Encounter Update: Ansaar Gazwatul Hind chief killed: IGP Kashmir

Tral, April 9 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police Friday said that Ansaar Gazwatul Hind chief has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that AGuH chief Imtiyaz Shah has been killed in Tral gunfight. In a tweet, IGP congratulated police and security forces for successful operation.

Search operation going on, the tweet read. Earlier, one militant was killed in Tral encounter that broke out early morning. Tral encounter is second in the past 24 hours as in Jan Mohalla area of Shopian encounter is underway since yesterday evening.

In Shopian gunfight, three militants have been killed while two others are believed to be trapped—(KNO)
