Extension of lockdown till May 3 to protect lives of Indians: Shah

New Delhi, Apr 14 : Expressing deep gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending the ongoing lockdown till May 3, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that the decision was taken to protect India and the lives of Indians in view of curbing spread of COVID19.
In a series of tweets, he said that the way all State Governments have been working in coordination with the Central Government is praise worthy. “ Now we have to deepen this coordination so that all citizens should observe the lockdown guidelines and no citizen should face any problem in getting the essential commodities”, he said.
As the Home Ministry of the country, Mr Shah also assured the countrymen that there has been a sufficient stocks of food, medicine and other essential goods, so there was no need to panic. ”I also request the affluent people of the society to come forward and help the poor living nearby.
Appreciating the role and contribution of the doctors, health workers, sweepers and all security personnel who have been playing an important role in containing the spread of this deadly disease, Mr Shah said that it was very touching. “Your courage and understanding in this odd circumstances, inspires every Indian, hence everyone should follow the guidelines and cooperate with them”, he added in his tweet message.
Lauding the role played by he BJP workers under the auspices of Prime Minister Modi and party chief JP Nadda, for helping the poor and needy people, is praise worthy and is a matter of pride. I hope that they will take good care of their health too”, Mr Shah concluded.
