Cong hits out at Khattar Govt for murder of party leader Vikas Chaudhary in Haryana

New Delhi, :  The Congress on Thursday hit out at the Manohar Lal Khattar government for the murder of party spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary in Faridabad, Haryana and said it showcases the law and order situation in the BJP-ruled states.
Condemning the murder, Congress president Rahul Gandhi said the incident is shameful and sad.
“This is a reflection of the deteriorating law and order in Haryana”, Mr Gandhi tweeted.
The Congress tweeted that cruel murder of the worker angered and saddened the party.
“We are deeply angered and saddened by this act of grotesque violence against a member of the Congress Party. We urge the Haryana govt. to bring the perpetrators to justice at the earliest. Our sincere condolences to his family in this time of grief”, Congress said.
AICC communication in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala alleged that Haryana has become a stronghold of gundaraj and organised crime.
“There is a breakdown of law enforcement in the state. It is the utterance of the hooligans and the chaotic elements. The Khattar Government is responsible for this environment. There should be a fair investigation of the murder of Vikas Chaudhary”, Mr Surjewala tweeted.
Chaudhary, who joined the Congress from Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) recently, was appointed the party spokesperson.
According to police, two unidentified assailants shot at Chaudhary when he was getting out of his car in Faridabad at 0900 hours.
Chaudhary was fired 10 bullets and died on the spot, police said.
