New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) The BJP on Monday reiterated that the party was committed to annulling Article 35A of the Constitution as the provision is discriminatory against non-permanent residents and women of Jammu and Kashmir.

‘We are committed to overcome all obstacles that come in the way of development and provide adequate financial resources to all the regions of the state. We reiterate our position since the time of the Jan Sangh to the abrogation of Article 370.

‘We will make all efforts to ensure the safe return of Kashmir Pandits and we will provide financial assistance for the resettlement of refugees from west Pakistan, Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) and Chhamb,’ the party said.
Speaking after releasing the BJP ‘Sankalp patra’ (manifesto) for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘The foundation of the BJP ‘Sankalp patra’ is one mission, one direction. We have set 75 well-defined resolutions in our manifesto that we can fulfill in a time bound manner. We are moving forward with ‘one mission, one direction’.’

He said that the NDA Government had strived to make India’s development policies multi-layered and bring in a multi-dimensional aspect to policies, so that they can be dynamic with respect to what the situation demands.
