NDA govt failed to keep its promises : Sachin Pilot

Hyderabad, Apr 8 :  Rajashthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has deplored that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre had failed to keep its promises to the people.
Mr Pilot who is touring Telangana to campaign for the Congress nominees for the April 11 Lok Sabha poll, in a chat with reporters on Monday, said that not a single rupee was paid under the ruling party’s promised scheme to deposit Rs.15 lakh in each poor person’s bank account.
However, the Congress as soon as it takes over the reins of power would deposit Rs 72,000 in the bank accounts of each poor family annually, he said.
He said that both the BJP and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) should make public the developments achieved in the state and the country during the last five years.
Mr Pilot said that the BJP had politicized the Pulwama terror attack in which more than 40 CRPF jawans had been martyred.
He alleged that attacks on Dalits and Muslims had increased in the country in the last five years.
Taking on the TRS, he said that elections in the state was held on Telangana sentiment and claimed that development of the state was possible only under the Congress rule.
He appealed to the people of the state to back the Congress nominees in the Lok Sabha Election for the larger good of all sections of the people.
