Police arrested one Notorious Drug Peddler

2 Kgs of Heroin recovered.

Kupwara, June 8,: Continuing its war against Drug menance Police party of PS Karnah established a Naka in Yariban hajitra Taad area of Karnah.

During checking the Naka party intercepted a person in a suspicious condition.

The party apprehended the said person who disclosed his Identity as Naseer Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Ismail Sheikh resident of Hajitra.

During his personal search 2 Packets of Heroin weighing about 2 Kgs was recovered from his possession.Accordingly legal action has been taken and case FIR No. 61/21 u/s 8/21 NDPS act has been registered in Police Station Karnahagainst the accused person, and investigation has taken up.The war against these Drug Peddlers will continue and those found involved in these acts will be strictly taken under law.

This act is hugely hailed by general public of the area. Kupwara Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding Drug Peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.(KNT)
