‘Sheri Kashmir’s Freed Us from Tyranny’: Advisor to CM

Srinagar: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Sogami, on Thursday highlighted the significant contributions of Sheikh Kashmir in liberating the people of Jammu and Kashmir from oppressive rule and setting the foundation for progress and development.

Speaking at a commemorative event, Sogami stated, “It is our collective responsibility to remember those who shaped our history and gave us the strength to speak and achieve milestones. Sheri Kashmir’s efforts stand out, as he played a pivotal role in granting us freedom and dignity.”

He further noted the challenges faced by the region during the era of autocracy, describing it as a time marked by widespread hardship and tyranny.

“Sheikh Kashmir’s leadership helped us break free from that oppression. His contributions will remain an integral part of our history,” Sogami said.

The Advisor prayed for Sheikh Kashmir, saying, “May Allah grant him a place in Jannah and elevate his status further.”

During the event, Sogami also mentioned the reinstatement of a canceled ceremony and assured that efforts are being made to organize grander celebrations in the future. “By the next significant milestone, we aim to ensure full-fledged observance of these important traditions,” he added.(KNS)
