SKIMS to Introduce QR Code system at payment counters

Srinagar: Kashmir’s territory care hospital Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) Soura will introduce the online payment system at all counters of the hospital through QR Code facility.
The Secretary of Health and Medical Education had recently directed all hospitals of the valley to have a QR Code system at payment counters for quicker facility.
SKIMS has initiated the process to have a QR Code facility for online payment at all counters of the institute, a statement of the institute said on Monday.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS informed that as of date there is online payment with a QR Code available at one counter in the OPD service area. Besides scan and share facility is also available.
“Now the process has been initiated with all stakeholders for having QR Code System on each counter and the facility will be made available to patients soon aimed to enhance patient care services at SKIMS”, he said.
In addition, SKIMS has POS Machines functional on all cash counters in OPD as well as in pharmacy, the statement reads.
