33 KV feeders restored in Anantnag, Kulgam districts: PDD

Srinagar: Almost all 33 KV lines in South Kashmir’s Anantnag and Kulgam districts have been restored while the restoration process of 11 KV feeders is going on, officials said on Saturday.

Superintending Engineer Power Development Department (PDD) Anantnag and Kulgam circle Nisar Ahmad Lone said that almost all the 33 KV feeders in both Anantnag and Kulgam districts have been cleared.

He said work is on to restore the feeder at Devsar in Kulgam district and another feeder in Anantnag district .

He said that in Anantnag there are 153, 11 KV feeders, of which 48 have been restored while the number of Distribution Transformers (DTs) in Anantnag is 5468 and of which 1680 have been repaired.

He further added that 34 out of 41, 33/11 KV receiving station have been restored in Anantnag district.

He said that in Kulgam out of 70, 11 KV feeders 6 have been restored while rest are being repaired.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Basharat Qayoom said that snow clearance operations are going on in full swing. “Over 70% of the roads have been cleared in Pulwama district,” he added.

The Deputy Commissioner said that interior link roads are being cleared on priority while efforts are on to restore electricity as most of 33 KV lines are up and 11 KV faults are being addressed on war footing basis.

He said that PHE (Jal Shakti) teams are also in the field, disruptions are being rectified and all urban local bodies are working 24×7—(KNO)
