Moral Education And Sports Activities Are Key Pillars of Student Success, Says PSAJK President G N Var

Lauds Sports Initiative At Hanfia Model High School Tangmarg

Srinagar:  In a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork, Hanfia Model High School Chandilora Tangmarg successfully organized a highly anticipated volleyball tournament. The event was graced by an esteemed panel of guests, including notable figures from the educational and community members.

The chief guests on this occasion were G N Var, President of the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), Alhaj Syed Ghulam Mohammad Shah, Patron of Gousia Educational Trust Baramulla , Zaffar Iqbal, Zonal Educational Officer Tangmarg. Special guests included Abdul Rashid Dar, Administrator of Gousia Educational Trust, Dr. Syed Ayoub Qadri, Councilor, Ghulam Mohi Uddin Bahroo, Councilor. Other distinguished guests included Shabir Wani, Chairman of MTM Foundation School Chandilora the Headmaster of Govt. Girls High School Chandilora, Syed Musadiq Amin, Chairman of Gousia School Kulhama, the Principal of Mohammadia High School Kunzer, Mir Aadil, Director of The Cambridge Foundation School Waripora, Nayeema Ahmad Shah, Managing Director of The Cambridge Foundation School Waripora, Syed Jameel Masoodi, Chairman of Oxford International School Waripora and the Chairman of Ali Public School Vahipora.

The tournament saw enthusiastic participation, with a total of four girls’ teams and six boys’ teams competing for the top honors.

Girls’ Final: Hanfia Model High School Chandilora vs. Govt. Girls High School Chandilora
Winner: Girls’ team of Hanfia Model High School Chandilora Tangmarg
Boys’ Final: Hanfia Model High School Chandilora (Hanfia 11) vs. Gousia 11
Winner: Gousia 11

The event concluded with cheers, applause, and a strong sense of achievement as the winners were felicitated by the chief guests.

G N Var, President, Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) said that “Sports are an integral part of education, building character and resilience in our youth. The success of this tournament reflects the dedication of Hanfia Model High School Chandilora towards holistic development, and I commend all participants for their enthusiasm and spirit.”

Var added, “Our priority is not only to provide quality education but also to focus on moral education and sports activities. The challenges faced by students today, particularly with excessive mobile screen time, have significant side effects. Sports play a crucial role in combating this menace of mobile addiction, offering both physical and psychological health benefits. I deeply appreciate the school owners who are committed to delivering quality education to their students. Schools are not just about academics; they are vital in imparting moral education, which is essential to curb the growing menace of drugs and other societal crimes. Moral education is the need of the hour to protect and guide our younger generation.”

Altaf Ahmad Dar, Councilor, Gousia Educational Trust Baramulla said that “The energy and talent displayed by the young athletes today are truly inspiring. Events like these are crucial in nurturing future leaders, and I congratulate the organizers for their commendable efforts.”

Principal Mohammad Altaf Wani, Hanfia Model High School Chandilora Tangmarg, stated, “This tournament was not just about winning or losing but about fostering unity, discipline, and a love for sports among our students. I am immensely proud of both our girls’ and boys’ teams for their outstanding performances.”

The tournament has set a benchmark for future sports events in the region, highlighting the importance of sports in the overall development of students. The entire school community looks forward to continuing this tradition of excellence in the years to come.
