Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commemorates 78th Independence Day with Zeal and Patriotism

Srinagar: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) celebrated the 78th Independence Day today with fervor and enthusiasm at its Headquarters in Karan Nagar. Commissioner Dr. Owais Ahmed IAS hoisted the National Flag in a solemn ceremony attended by senior officers and officials of the Corporation, who gathered to honor the sacrifices of the brave martyrs of India’s freedom struggle.

In a heartfelt address, Dr. Owais paid tribute to those who fought valiantly for India’s independence, underscoring the significance of Independence Day as a reminder of the core values that define the nation—equality, freedom, liberty, justice, and human dignity. Dr.Owais reaffirmed his commitment to serve the nation and its citizens with integrity and dedication.
