Kokernag Encounter: Two Army Soldiers Injured, Operation Underway: Army


Kokernag: Army on Saturday said that in ongoing encounter two army troopers were injured in Ahlan area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Taking on to the micro-blogging platform X, The Chinar Corps of Amry wrote, “Based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Operation was launched by IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice & @crpf_srinagar today in general area Kokernag, Anantnag. Contact was established and firefight ensued. Two personnel have been injured and evacuated from the area.Operations are in progress, reads the post.

Earlier, a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Ahlan area of Kokernag on a specific input.
