Karnah admin bans mobile phone usage by teachers in classrooms

Kupwara:In a bid to enhance focus and discipline within classrooms, the authorities in Kupwara’s Karnah have issued a stringent directive requiring all teachers to switch off their mobile phones during working hours.
The directive applies to teaching staff in all the government-run schools in the sub-division.
Sub-divisional magistrate Zaffar Ahmed Lone, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), stated that only heads of the institutions are permitted to keep their mobile phones active during school hours to receive relevant communications when necessary.
The circular warns that any violation of these instructions will result in disciplinary action under relevant laws.
Zonal education officer of Tangdhar and cluster heads have been tasked to oversee the implementation of this policy across all educational institutions in the sub-division.
