Tragic Accident on Handwara-Bangus Road Claims Two Lives, Including Aspiring Doctor

 

Handwara :In a tragic incident, a private car traveling to Bangus Valley in Handwara met with a fatal accident, resulting in the death of two individuals, including an aspiring doctor, and injuries to another person.

According to details, the accident occurred when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp turn on the Handwara-Bangus road stretch. A medical official reported that Saba Shafi, daughter of Mohammad Shafi Baba from Pantha Chowk, Srinagar, was killed on the spot.

Two other passengers, Aliza and Nooran Ahmad Baba, sustained injuries.

The injured were immediately taken to NTPHC Qalamabad, from where doctors referred them to GMC Handwara for further treatment. However, Aliza succumbed to her injuries shortly after admission, while Nooran Ahmad remains under treatment.(KNS)
