DC Srinagar highlights education’s role in shaping future at Burn Hall School Award Ceremony

Dr. Bilal stresses emotional resilience and responsible technology use

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat on Friday emphasized the role of education in shaping a brighter future for the nation.

DC Srinagar said this during the award ceremony held at Burn Hall School to honor the academic toppers of the session 2023-2024.

The event, attended by enthusiastic parents, dedicated students, and distinguished guests, underscored the significance of education and the achievements of the youth in the community.

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, DC Srinagar Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din.

In his address, Dr. Bilal commended not only the students but also the supportive role of their families.

He remarked, “Your achievements today are a testament to your dedication and the support of your families. Continue to strive for excellence and contribute positively to society.” His words served as a powerful reminder of the collective effort required in the journey of academic success, where the support system at home plays a pivotal role in nurturing a child’s potential.

Furthermore, Dr. Bilal touched upon the challenges of the modern digital age, advising parents to monitor the usage of technology by their children. He expressed concerns about the potential distractions and negative influences that excessive screen time can bring, urging parents to strike a balance and ensure their children use technology constructively.

He also emphasized the importance of emotional strength, advising parents to help their children develop resilience and the ability to face the world’s challenges with confidence and fortitude.

The guest of honour, Er. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Ex-Additional Commissioner of Kashmir, also shared words of encouragement. He praised the commitment of both students and parents in the pursuit of academic excellence and stressed the importance of innovation and continuous learning in today’s rapidly changing world.

The ceremony featured the distribution of awards and certificates to the top-performing students across various grades, recognizing their exceptional accomplishments and dedication throughout the academic year. Parents expressed their pride and joy, celebrating their children’s achievements and the supportive educational environment fostered by the institution.

The event concluded with a motivational speech by Fr. Stalin Raja, Principal of Burn Hall School Srinagar, encouraging students to set higher goals and pursue their passions with determination and resilience. The celebration of academic success serves as a reminder of the vital role education plays in empowering individuals and building a prosperous society.
