Baramulla: The dead body of an elderly man was recovered today after 11 days of continuous search efforts in river Jehlum in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources told Kashmir News Service KNS that Mohammad Subhan Dhobi resident of Kakar Hamam, Baramulla had drowned in the Jhelum River on May 21 after slipping into the water.
However, after immense efforts of Locals and police, the body was not recovered immediately, they said.

Sources told KNS that The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) led the search operation, which continued for 11 days with the assistance of various rescue agencies.
Despite the challenging conditions, the combined efforts finally led to the discovery of his body today from river Jehlum.
The locals were continuously appealing to the administration to deploy more teams to help in the search operation and finally the body has been recovered today.
