Srinagar: Suspected militants shot dead one person and injured another in Karfali Mohalla Shalla Kadal area of Srinagar district on Wednesday evening.
A top police officer told GNS that this evening militants fired upon two person from close range. One of the injured succumbed on spot while another was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
As per Initial reports one has been identified as Amritpal Singh (deceased) of Amritsar and another has been identified as Rohit son of who is admitted in SMHS, both are said to be non-locals.
