Police solves theft case in Pulwama, 2 arrested

Pulwama:Police solved a burglary case by arresting two accused persons and recovered the stolen property worth lakhs in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police said on Monday that Station Kakapora received a written complaint from one mobile shop owner, Owais Ahmed Bakal, stating therein that his shop had been burgled during the intervening night of January 20/21, and mobiles worth lakhs besides some cash were also stolen.

A case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kakapora, and an investigation was taken up, police said.

During the course of the investigation, many suspects were rounded up, and some leads were followed after the analysis of CCTV footage.

Two suspected persons identified as Sahil Shafi Gugjoo, a resident of Kakapora, and ⁠Khursheed Ahmed rather alias Adnan, of Naman Kakapora, were arrested.

On their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession. Both have been shifted to the police station, where they remain in custody.
