Gunfight between militants and SFs resumes in J&K’s Rajouri

Jammu: The gunfight resumed between militants and security forces with first light on Wednesday in the Narlah area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

On Tuesday, one militant was killed, one Army jawan was martyred, and three security personnel, including a Special Police Officer, sustained injuries in the ensuing operation.

One Army dog also sacrificed her life while protecting her handler.

“The holed-up militants are believed to be two to three, and the area is cordoned off,” said a senior police official.

He said an intermittent exchange of fire is on, adding, “More details are awaited.”
