Giant efforts by G20 countries will result in achievement of decisive tourism industry: Reddy

Srinagar, May 23 : Union Tourism Minister G Kishen Reddy on Tuesday hoped that the giant efforts by all the G20 countries will result in the achievement of inclusive and action oriented

decisive guidelines in the tourism industry.

“I am sure that the giant efforts by all the G20 member of the invited countries and international organisations will result in the achievement of inclusive and action oriented decisive guidelines in

the tourism industry,” Union Minister said while addressing the delegates on the second day of the 3rd G20 Tourism working Group meeting being held at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex (SKICC) here in Srinagar.

The high profile third G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting kicked off in Srinagar on Monday amid unprecedented security. The three day G20 meet, is the first major international event in Jammu and Kashmir since 2019, when the erstwhile state’s special status was scrapped and it became a Union Territory.

He said the significance of progress made in the five points including green tourism, destilisation, skills, tourism, MSMs and destination are moving in the positive and meaningful direction by the tourism working groups.

“I am sure that the giant efforts by all the G20 members and the invited countries and international organisations will result in the achievement of inclusive and action oriented decisive guidelines in

the tourism industry”, he said.

Reddy invited the foreign delegates to visit India again and again with the family and friends and the citizens of your country and assured them that wherever they go in India people will greet them and treat them like their own family members.

“I hope you enjoy your stay and return to India over and over again with the family and friends and the citizens of your respective countries to experience the pristine glory of the places and the hospitality”, he said.

He said the friends who came here for two days and discussed positively and respectively and with the contribution of good and best ideas for upcoming tourism activities around the globe.
