DLIDCC meeting on registration of Births & Deaths held at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 1: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-u-Din Shah today convened a maiden meeting of District Level Inter Departmental Coordination Committee (DLIDCC) on registration of Births and Deaths in the district.

At the outset, a detailed discussion was held on the role and responsibilities of various departments for ensuring smooth implementation of the Civil Registration System.

District Statistics and Evaluation Officer who is also Additional District Registrar, Births and Deaths briefed the meeting about the terms of references of the committee including ensuring interdepartmental Coordination of departments engaged in civil registration to resolve the operational problems affecting the registration work and discussed the issues which requires intervention at the top level.

The ADC stressed upon all the officers to ensure coordination for ensuring an efficient system of registration in the district.

He also asked the CMO to conduct the workshop for all departments of the committee to discuss their roles and responsibilities so that any doubts regarding implementation of the Civil Registration System are cleared.

The meeting was attended by CMO Ganderbal, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, BDOs and representatives from concerned departments.
