Road Safety Week: ARTO Gbl organises Awareness rally

Ganderbal, Jan 16: As part of Road Safety Week, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Ganderbal along with Traffic Police today organised an awareness rally in the town.

During the event, drivers and vehicle owners were made aware about various Road Safety measures to be taken for safe driving on the road.

Pamphlets on road safety were also distributed among drivers and passengers for disseminating the message of road safety among the public.

On the occasion, ARTO Ganderbal, Wajahat Qayoom said that road safety is a collective responsibility. He said that MVD has organized several activities in the district as part of ongoing Road Safety Week with the purpose to generate awareness among the commuters regarding safe driving on roads.

He also advised the commercial vehicle drivers to avoid over speeding and use of mobile phones while driving adding that behavioral changes and positive attitude is must to avoid road accidents and save precious human lives.
