ECI calls for all party meet in Delhi

Srinagar, Jan 14 : Election Commission of India has invited all political parties across the country to participate in a meeting in New Delhi,

An official told Srinagar that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has invited all major political parties in India including JK PDP and JKNC to participate in a meeting at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 16 January.

He said “The Election Commission of India (ECI) has developed a prototype to enable remote voting for migrant workers and students and called an all-party meeting on January 16 to demonstrate the technology designed to address low voter turnout and to seek feedback.”

The purpose is demonstration of EVMs & VVPATs being organised in New Delhi by ECI, he added.
