ADDC Ganderbal takes stock of Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls 2023

Also discussed digitization of land records

Ganderbal, Jan 8: Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani today convened a meeting to review the progress on Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls 2023 in the District.
During the meeting brief discussion was held on additions and deletions made by the PEBO concerned, awareness programs and SVEEP activities.
On the occasion, the ADDC asked the officers to educate the general public about the procedure for up-dation of Panchayat Draft Electoral Roll and urge youth who attained 18 year age on the qualifying date of 01.01.2023,  to register themselves as voter in Electoral Roll.
While interacting with the officers, the ADDC
exhorted them to expedite the pace of registration to achieve the target well in time.
It was informed that different awareness and informative activities like pledge-taking ceremonies, rallies, debates and announcements are being held at the local level across the district under SVEEP programme in which hundreds of locals, officials of RDD, and PRIs participated.
Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the progress of digitization of land records.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather, ACR, ACD and other concerned.
