NCC Organise  Trainning Camp at Line of Control in Keran

Srinagar, May 11 : An NCC Training Camp in the remote location of Keran, right next to the Line of Control commenced on 11 May 2022. Conducted under the aegis of 3 J&K Battalion NCC and with support of the Indian Army formation in Pharkian, the camp will run till 19 May 22. 110 boy & 15 girl cadets from all over North Kashmir are participating in the camp. The camp will strive at imbibing in the cadets the aim of NCC ie; “developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure & ideals of selfless service”.

To achieve the same, the cadets will be exposed to physical training, drill and weapon training. In addition to enable their holistic growth, cultural activities, social awareness and short adventure trips will also be conducted.

 

The Training Camp apart from providing adequate learning opportunity to the cadets has also been very well received by the locals of Keran, who have expressed pride that it is being conducted here and that 40 local boys are also part of the camp.
