Police rejects ‘baseless’ tweet over domestic violence case in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 7 : Police on Saturday rejected as baseless a tweet by a netizen claiming that accused person in a domestic violence case in Baramulla were roaming free.

“Who said they’re roaming free? FIR has been lodged exactly as per wishes of family. The family has been already assured strictest possible action on merits will be taken,” SSP Baramulla said while reacting to the tweet. “The accused are already arrested,” he said.

Baramulla Police in a tweet also responded strongly and asked the netizen not to spread “rumours and instigate please”.
