BJP leader Altaf Thakur Hoists Party flag at Town Hall Awantipora on party’s 42nd Foundation Day

Highlights PM Modi’s countless schemes like Golden Card, E-Shram, Kisan Samanidhi, Old Age pension, PMAY: Says these schemes only for people’s welfare; urges workers to make people aware about benefits of these schemes; BJP committed to upliftment of every segment of society

Awantipora, April 6: Senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and party’s J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur Wednesday hoisted party flag at Town Hall Awantipora on the occasion of BJP’s 42nd Foundation day. Thakur highlighted series of schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upliftment of poor and other segments of society and asked the party workers to make people aware of these schemes in their respective areas.


In a statement issued here, Thakur said that he hoisted the party flag at Town Hall Awnatipora during BJP’s workers convention organized on the occasion of party’s 42nd Foundation Day. Thakur was accompanied by Muhammad Shafi BJP district vice-president for Pulwama and Abdul Ahad senior BJP leader and BDC chairman Awantipora.

Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said that he highlighted the series of pro-people steps taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that includes golden card, which provides free-health care and treatment to people up to Rs 5 lakh in any of the hospitals across the country. “I also explained the benefits of E-Shram, Kisan Samnidi, Old Age pension, PMAY besides other series of schemes launched by the PM Modi for the welfare of people, farmers, downtrodden, and women folk of the country,” Thakur said.

He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, all these schemes have been rolled out to ensure uplifment and development of all segments of society without irrespective of cast, creed or religion.
Thakur urged the party workers to make people aware about these countless schemes so that every person gets benefited from the series of schemes launched by the BJP government at the Centre.
He said that BJP is committed to take governance to the grassroots and ensure that each and every citizen of the country and J&K gets benefits of various schemes.  He urged people to avail the benefits of various schemes highlighted by him.
