Man held for anti-national activities

Srinagar, Jan 15 : J&K Police has arrested a Kashmir resident for allegedly indulging in anti-national activities on social media.

Police on Saturday said Mir Mushtaq, a resident of Bonora Pulwama in south Kashmir, was arrested after registration of a case in Pulwama police station.
“Mir Mushtaq through his social media account is indulging in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity and Union of India and UT J&K and advocates abets unlawful activities, and commits offenses which is likely to disrupt the public tranquility and harmony,” a police officer in Puwlama said.

“The subject is involved in criminal intimidation on social media and is also involved in cyber stalking and cyber bullying,” the officer added.

Police said the accused has been arrested in the instant case.
