DC inspects implementation of Covid restrictions in Doda Township

Urges Shopkeepers to follow SOPs, do not allow customers without mask

Doda, Jan 15: Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma, accompanied by SSP  Abdul Qayoom  today inspected the implementation of fresh Covid restrictions in the market including the banks here in the district headquarter  town.

During the visit, the team visited several areas of the town, including public institutions and sensitised people about the fresh covid restrictions implemented in Doda as well as across the district.

The DC urged shopkeepers not to allow any customers to enter the shops without face masks and to avoid unnecessary gathering in and around their establishments.

During the visit, they also inspected bank branches in the town and directed the concerned authorities to implement the Covid safety measures during the working time and install sanitizer stands in the banks  as well as in ATMs.

The DC informed them that the banks are the real hotspots and can be a great source of spread of the Covid virus and  thus require special attention.

The DC also interacted with the  market associations and asked them to extend full cooperation to the Administration in implementing the Covid appropriate behaviour in the market areas. He also  urged locals to restrict their unnecessary visit to the market as well to the public offices. The EO MC was asked to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitization of the market areas and other public institutions without any fail.

Meanwhile, teams of officials distributed face masks among the locals in   Pranoo and Khelani areas.
