DC Shopian chairs DLIC meeting

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 18: Continuing the efforts undertaken to provide sustainable livelihood to the unemployed educated youth of Shopian under “Mumkin” scheme enabling them to earn a decent livelihood, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya who is also the Chairman, District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) today convened a meeting of concerned officers at Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.

During the meeting, the DC said that such Government schemes are aimed at empowering the unemployed youth by providing them assistance and opportunity to create a niche in the society.

He further said that the efforts are afoot to provide more opportunities and proper facilities to enable the youth to realize their dreams and aspirations.

Vaishya on the occasion emphasised for educating youth to avail the benefits of the Government sponsored schemes.

The meeting was apprised that the department has sanctioned 29 cases while 11 cases are under process under “Tejaswini” scheme which will be cleared soon.

Among others District Lead Bank Manager, G.M.Dar; General Manager DIC, Tanveer Ahmad; ARTO, Mohammad Mouzim and other concerned officers were present.

The candidates were earlier approved for the scheme by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC).
