NIA crackdown underway in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 12 (UNI) A major crackdown by the National Investigation Agency is currently underway in connection with J&K terrorism conspiracy case.

The searches are being conducted at 16 locations in Kashmir, a statement said.As per the statement, “16 locations in Kashmir valley are being searched in connection with J&K terrorism conspiracy case (RC 29/2021/NIA/DLI) pertaining to conspiracy for conducting violent terrorist acts in J&K and other major cities by the cadres of proscribed terrorist organization Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), and their affiliates Al Badr, The Resistance Front (TRF), People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF), Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind (MGH) etc.”

The NIA is being assisted by J&K police and CRPF in these raids.

The NIA raids are being conducted at a time when J&K police have detained over 500 persons to probe the recent civilian killing that has triggered panic among the minorities.
