Two elderly persons sustain serious injuries in twin bear attack

Kangan, Aug 25, KNT: In two separate incidents at twin villages of Akhal Kangan here in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, two elderly persons were seriously injured in bear attacks.

The first incident occurred at Check Akhal village where a bear attack left 70-year-old man Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh seriously injured.

Doctors referred the injured man from Sub-District Hospital Kangan to SKIMS Soura.

Another incident occurred at Gounchi Mohalla Akhal where bear attacked a 53-year old woman Mukhti Begum. Locals brought the woman in a pool of blood at Sub-District Hospital Kangan.

The condition of both persons is stated to be critical. (KNT)
