Gun can’t solve problems: Mehbooba Mufti

Condemns Sopore militant attack

Baramullah: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP patron Mebooba Mufti on Saturday condemned the killings in Sopore attack and said that gun can’t resolve Kashmir issue.

She denounced use of gun by both sides, be it Delhi or Kashmir youth who have picked up arms.

“Whether it is the gun of Delhi or our youth who have picked up arms, it cannot help us resolve the issue. Such incidents defame our Kashmir and give people reasons to use more force against commoners. We believe that non violence and dialogue is solution to every problem,” Mehbooba told media here at Baramulla.

Mehbooba was speaking on the sidelines of her visit to Sweeper Colony Noorbagh Baramulla where an overnight fire left 31 families homeless.

Pertinent to mention here that in the Sopore gunmen’s attack two cops and two civilians were killed.
