Youth Hit By Vehicle Dies In Kupwara


Srinagar, 29 May : A youth was killed in a road accident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district late last evening, officials said on Saturday.
Official sources told GNS that the youth identified as Mohammad Ameen Dar (26) of Mir Mohalla Bumhama Kupwara was hit by a vehicle (JK09B-4354) while he was walking near his residence late evening, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately shifted to Kupwara hospital where from he was removed to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment. However he died on way to hospital, they said.
A police official confirmed to GNS the death of the pedestrian and said that a case has been registered in this regard and investigations taken up.(GNS)
