Body of 11th class student recovered from Jehlum in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 27 : Body of seventeen-year-old teenager who slipped into the Jhelum river in Srinagar was recovered by River police on Thursday at Guzarbalr in Noorbagh area of Srinagar.

A Police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a youth identified as Momin Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Ahmad Dar, 11th standard student from Rampora Veer Chattabal, slipped into Jhelum river when he was crossing the foot bridge in the area on May 21. The body of the youth was recovered by the River Police on Thursday morning at Zuzarbal in Noorbagh here, he told KDC.

He said that the body was handed over to police for necessary medico- legal formalities and accordingly will be handed over to his relatives for his burial.

Police have already taken cognizance of the incident, he added. (KDC)
