Man found hanging in Kakapora Pulwama

Pulwama, Apr 24 (KNO): A 50-year-old man was found hanging in Laribal village of Kakapora belt of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday afternoon.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a man was found hanging from a tree near his residence in Laribal.

He was identified as Abdul Gani Dar of Laribal Pulwama. The deceased is father of three sons and one daughter, locals said.

“It seems that he has committed suicide but we have started investigation into the case,” the official said.

He said that a police team has taken body into their custody and after all legal formalities, the body will be handed over to his family.

Pertinently, on 02 April this year, an encounter took place at his house in Kakapora which he had purchased recently after which his son Nawaz Ahmad was also arrested and booked under PSA—(KNO)
