Twenty-yr-old youth drowns in Kishanganga river in Gurez

Srinagar, Apr 14 (UNI) A 20-year-old youth drowned in a river in the border town of Gurez in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Wednesday.

Official sources said that the youth, identified as Mohammad Muzamil Samoon, slipped and fell in Kishanganga river in the border town on Wednesday. Other people present at the spot jumped into the river and rescued the youth, they added.

The youth was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead. “After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites,” they added.
