Police recover huge consignment of drugs from Kitchen Garden in South Kashmir

ANANTNAG : Police recovered huge consignment of drugs from a hideout in Bijbehara town of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and arrested two peddlers in this regard.

A police official told news agency that a police party at a checkpoint established at Tulkhan crossing apprehended two guys namely, Lateef Ahmad Shah and Azad Ahmed Shah, both residents of Nambal with 15 Codeine bottles.

During questioning, they disclosed that they bought these bottles one Ghulam Hasan Dar at Tulkhan village.

Upon this the sub division team rushed to the location and searched thoroughly the entire place and in the kitchen garden unearthed 1500 bottles of codeine. The stock was dumped in a pit around 7 feet deep.

“Whole team worked hard to unearth this. A case under relevant sections has been registered and further investigation is underway,” the official said.
