Sensex down by over 200 pts

 

 

Mumbai, Mar 24 :  The BSE Sensex fell on Wednesday dropped by 243 pts to 49,808.22 as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty too declined by 78.25 pts to 14,736.59.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 49,854.58 and 49,684.51 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,752.35 and 14,703.15 respectively.

The Mid Cap fell by 0.08 while Small Cap rose by 0.01 pc.

In 30 scrips 11 advanced while 19 declined. The losers were ONGC by 2.19 pc to Rs 104.80, ICICI Bank by 1.47 pc to Rs 577.70, SBI by 1.38 pc to Rs 367.35, Reliance Industries by 1.04 pc to Rs 2067.30 and Kotak Bank by 1.03 pc to Rs 1794.50.

The gainers were Asian Paints by 1.93 pc to Rs 2455.35, Sun Pharma by 0.88 pc to Rs 593.05, Dr Reddy by 0.82 pc to Rs 4408 and Powergrid by 0.59 pc to Rs 220.45.
