Pramod Sawant has done nothing during last 2 years: Rohan Khaunte

Panaji, Mar 24 : Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had nothing during the last two years of his tenure.

Speaking to reporters at the Assembly Complex at Porvorim, he said,’Completion of two years in the office is a tribute to his bosses at the Centre to please them and ensure that the seat is proper. I do not think Pramod Sawant has done anything for the state. Everybody knows what the status is. I would comment less. I would only wish him that he should protect Mhadei, Mollem and take pledge to protect Goa.’

‘Basically we should salute Mr Sawant for having sold the state to the Centre during the last two years, allowing the Centre to do what they want for their whims and fancies. So Goa is being used for Centre’s equation by Sawant government,’ he alleged.

The former minister said there was need to take strong decision as far as Mhadei issue was concerned.

‘Strong decision needs to be taken. Forty people going to Delhi, coming back and again going is not going to serve any purpose. Ultimately what has happned? The Chief Minister is doing what he wants,’ he said.
