
News Desk, June 12th: Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi to assess security and logistical preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, the Union Home Secretary, Director of the Intelligence Bureau, the Chief of Army Staff, and Directors General of the CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and SSB, along with other senior officials.
During the review, the Home Minister took stock of security arrangements, coordination among various agencies and overall preparedness for the smooth and safe conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
Officials discussed measures aimed at ensuring the safety of pilgrims, strengthening security infrastructure and maintaining seamless coordination among security forces and civil administration during the Yatra.
The meeting underscored the Centre’s commitment to facilitating a peaceful and secure pilgrimage for devotees visiting the holy cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.
