Bihar Assembly turmoil: Rahul slams Nitish

 

 

New Delhi, Mar 24 :  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday slammed Bihar Chief Minsiter Nitish Kumar for bulldozing the ‘police bill’ in the State Assembly on Tuesday, saying that the latter has ripped off the democracy with this act.

Bihar Assembly had on Tuesday passed the police bill that seeks to convert the existing Bihar Military Police (BMO) into a special armed force that can be deployed to secure industrial units on the lines of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

“Those who defy democracy have no right to be called government,” the Congress leader wrote on Twitter.

He further accused the Bihar CM for completely aligning with the BJP-RSS and said it was completely evident from the yesterday’s dramatic scenes in the Bihar Assembly.

A high-voltage drama was witnessed during the Assembly session on Tuesday as some members of the opposition staged dharna before the chamber of the Speaker and blocked his movement, making it impossible to start proceeding of the House.
